TLDR

To simplify item reservations, when an item has a corresponding label there is an associated QR code. The QR code can be scanned on the phone to redirect the user to a reservation page. It is often the case that the items are too small to fit the QR code on, so a QR can include filtering information. A QR leads to label.thinkinrocks.com/<label>?filter which in turn redirects the user to the reservations page.

The label may be a glob pattern like USBFLASH-*.
